The Ikat Art Promise

Natural Fiber. Family Craft.
Since 2017, we’ve brought handwoven ikat directly from Uzbekistan’s master artisans to homes around the world. Each piece is dyed with natural pigments and woven using techniques unchanged for generations.
Free from synthetic dyes and harmful chemicals
Safe for your home, gentle on the environment
Made with care — for you, for nature, for the craft itself
What Makes Ikat Different
Ikat is not printed fabric. It's not dyed after weaving. The magic happens before a single thread touches the loom.
The Technique
Patterns are drawn directly onto silk threads, which are then bound and dyed — sometimes seven or eight times — before weaving. This resist-dyeing process creates ikat's signature "blurred" edges, impossible to replicate by machine.
The Visual Effect
Where conventional textiles offer uniform patterns, ikat shimmers with soft transitions and organic imperfections. Each meter is unique — colors merge and flow like watercolors on silk.
The Cultural Depth
Every ikat motif carries meaning — protection, fertility, prosperity. These aren't decorative choices; they're symbols passed down through generations of Silk Road weavers.
The Human Touch
Slight variations are not flaws — they're proof of human hands at work. No two pieces are identical. That's not a limitation; it's the point.

Maintenance Tips
Handwoven from natural silk and cotton, this ikat fabric brings centuries of Central Asian artistry into your space. The breathable weave allows air to circulate, while the lustrous surface catches light beautifully. Ideal for cushions, throws, curtains, or statement upholstery.
Caring for ikat is simple. The natural fibers are resilient yet delicate — a balance perfected over centuries. For everyday freshness, air your fabric in shade. For deeper cleaning, gentle dry cleaning preserves both color and texture. With proper care, your ikat will age gracefully, its colors softening into an even richer patina over time.
Washing: Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, or dry clean for best results.
Drying: Lay flat or hang in shade. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve color vibrancy.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place. Use acid-free tissue paper between folds.
Ironing: Low heat on reverse side only. Steam is gentler than direct contact.
Longevity: Treated with care, ikat becomes an heirloom — its beauty deepening with time.
